Den Hartog's story began in 2002, when Kees and Colinda den Hartog took the leap and started their own business. What began as an ambitious dream at home soon grew into a serious enterprise.

2003/2004
Our first business premises
After eighteen months, we opened the doors to our first business premises, with an office and a beautiful showroom. Growth accelerated rapidly. The showroom soon became too small, so we rented an additional warehouse.

2009
A completely new building
After five successful years at that location, we had the unique opportunity to build entirely new premises designed around our own needs. We moved in July 2009 and celebrated the milestone that October.

2010
Keeping our shared dream alive
In February 2010, we suffered an unimaginable loss when Kees suddenly passed away following a brain haemorrhage. During this deeply painful period, Colinda made the deliberate and courageous decision to continue the business on her own and keep their shared dream alive.

2020
Always moving forward
Standing still was never an option. In 2020, Colinda introduced a completely new visual identity and website, reflecting the energy of the time.

The next step
Six years later, we are taking the next step. We are proud to launch this renewed website: faster, clearer and even easier to use. Britt den Hartog, the daughter of Kees and Colinda, made an enormous and invaluable contribution to this milestone.

At Den Hartog Dronten, we create inspiring, safe and considered play and learning environments that fit seamlessly into daily practice. Our mission is to provide childcare centres, schools and education professionals with quality interiors, play materials and educational resources that make real work on the floor easier and more inspiring.
Drawing on years of first-hand childcare experience, Colinda knows exactly what does and does not work in practice. That valuable hands-on knowledge is the foundation of our range and advice. We choose solutions not only for their appearance, but also for their durability, ability to spark imagination and resilience in the dynamic reality of everyday use.
