Designed for everyday use
Made to be used
- Unique 2-in-1 function
- For removing large and small ticks
- Compact and convenient to use
Application
Before using the HeltiQ Tick Tweezers, check whether you are dealing with a small or large tick. Then determine which side of the tick tweezers you will use to remove the tick. Apply the side with the gripping arms to small ticks. If you are going to remove a large, engorged tick, turn the tick tweezers over and use the V-notch to remove the tick.
For small ticks
- Place your thumb and index finger on the white push buttons on the side of the tick tweezers.
- Press the buttons simultaneously, so that the gripping arms of the tick tweezers open.
- Place the open tick tweezers over the head of the tick, as close to the skin as possible, and release the buttons simultaneously.
- Now turn the tweezers 2 to 3 times counter-clockwise (in the direction of the arrow) and carefully pull the tick free.
- After removing the tick, disinfect the bite wound with 70% alcohol.
- Clean the tick tweezers after use with 70% alcohol on a sterile gauze compress.
For large ticks
- Slide the tick tweezers sideways over the entire tick into the V-notch, so that it becomes clamped.
- Now turn the tweezers 2 to 3 times counter-clockwise (in the direction of the arrow) and carefully pull the tick free.
- After removing the tick, disinfect the bite wound with 70% alcohol.
- Clean the tick tweezers after use with 70% alcohol.
