Designed for everyday use
Made to be used
Ted van Lieshout and Philip Hopman's popular Christmas book about the most beloved farmer in the Netherlands is also available as a folder with storytelling plates, ideal for reading aloud to a large group of children. While the children look at the large pictures, the reader reads the text printed on the back. Convenient!
The Christmas tree is beautifully decorated outside in the yard, and all the animals come to see it. Except for the old pig... It turns out it quietly died of old age. Boris organizes a beautiful funeral in the forest. And when they return to the stable, Christmas still has a happy ending... Thanks to these Farmer Boris storytelling plates, it's even more fun and easier to read to a group of children. The 13 sturdy, loose A3 plates fit into a standard storytelling box (not included), but the storyteller can also simply hold them themselves.
Since 2012, Ted van Lieshout and Philip Hopman have been tirelessly working on their series of books about Farmer Boris, Sam, Berend, and the farm. The two form a true top duo: Ted received the Theo Thijssen Prize in 2009, and in 2022, Philip Hopman won the Max Velthuijs Prize, each for their awe-inspiring oeuvre. Around Farmer Boris, they have created a clear, cheerful, but above all, warm world. Young children will want to look at the drawings on the large storytelling plates again and again.
